Summary/Contribution of Position
The Bioinformatics Associate I collaborates with Scientists to maintain, execute, and test the EpiServices pipelines of Zymo Research for genome-wide DNA methylation, and other Next-Generation Sequencing analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain, execute, and test the EpiServices pipelines for genome-wide DNA methylation and other Next-Generation Sequencing data.
Coordinate with R&D personnel to design analysis strategies, and tools.
Maintain technical materials, protocols, and applications notes on data analysis.
Perform analysis of high-throughput, next-generation sequencing data.

Education and Experience
Interested candidates should have:
A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, and R.
Familiar with Linux/Unix operation systems.
Ability to simultaneously manage and execute multiple projects.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Biostatistics and next-generation sequencing analysis.
Experience in designing, developing, and implementing high-tech pipelines.
Knowledge of software packages used in public genomic databases.

Bioinformatics Associate II
Summary/Contribution of Position
highly-motivated and proactive individual to join our R&D team as a Bioinformatics Research Associate. Working side by side with some of the most talented people in biotechnology, the successful applicant will participate in Bioinformatics-related activities for the analysis of next-generation sequencing data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interface with Scientists to design analysis strategies, algorithms, and tools for genome-wide DNA methylation and hydroxymethylation next-generation sequencing, RNA-seq, and ChIP-seq, etc.
Develop and maintain Zymo Research services pipeline and website for customers to view the status of their service order and the outcomes of the sequencing data analysis.
Identify and utilize cloud services that effectively stores massive volumes of sequencing data.
Collaborate with Scientists and R&D personnel to expand the EpiServices offerings by developing front- and back-end of website for customers to perform data analysis.
Maintain technical materials, protocols, and applications notes on data analysis.
Education and Experience
Interested candidates should have:
An MS or BS in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Computer Science or a related discipline. Good understanding of bioinformatics, statistics and high-throughput data analysis.
Must have 2+ years of Python programming experience, and familiar with SQL and Linux/Unix operation system. Web development experience is a plus.
Familiar with next-generation sequencing platforms is preferred.
Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written, are required as are strong analytical skills, attention to detail and adaptability.
