Research Fellow @ NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF BIOMEDICAL GENOMICS
Project Description: Genome-wide Association Studies (GWAS) are conducted to identify genetic factors underlying complex diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Apart from GWAS, parallel evidence comes from other genomic studies of diseases, such as transcriptomic & eQTL studies and also various biological databases. Innovative statistical methods and sophisticated computational tools are required for systematic integration of these high-dimensional inter-connected datasets to accelerate genomic discoveries. This is a Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance funded project involving development of statistical methods and computational tools in the areas of genomic data-mining and integrative genomics.
