The Alvarez-Ponce lab at the University of Nevada, Reno, is accepting applications for Ph.D. students with a strong interest in bioinformatics and molecular evolution. Research areas in the lab include comparative genomics, the evolution of molecular pathways and networks (e.g., protein-protein interaction networks, metabolic pathways/networks, signal transduction pathways/networks, etc.), and the organisms’ genomic adaptation to different temperatures.
