Internships for Bioinformatics & computational biology students

Each node will host student interns interested in pursuing a research career in mathematical or computational biology at institutions located in its region.
Eligibility: Bachelors (3rd or 4th year) and Masters students
Average duration: 3 months (could be more in certain cases). These internships can be availed at any time during 2015 subject to consent from the faculty mentor.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 10,000 per month. In addition, outstation interns can receive up to Rs. 5000 per month for accommodation and Rs. 3000 for travel (by II A/c train) from and to their home place.

  • Bachelors (3rd or 4th year) and Masters students in science and engineering. They should be currently enrolled as a student.
Where and when exactly will the internship be conducted?
  • Anytime in 2015, depending on the mutual convenience of the host scientist and you.

  • The institute the person you want to work with is associated.
What type of projects will be held?
  • A research or study project, decided by the host scientist who you intern with, based on your background and the kind of work she/he is engaged in.
Who will be training the interns?
  • The host scientist and her/his group.
What is the duration of the programme?
  • At most 3 months
