The Biomedical Informatics Centre (BMIC) at the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases, Kolkata was established in July, 2006. This is the one of the nine centers created by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India.To ensure balanced and integrated development of information dissemination, application development and R&D in biomedical informatics, this centre will facilitate the development of an interdisciplinary approach through independent and collaborative research activities.We will organize training courses, workshops and seminars in biomedical informatics to encourage and motivate scientific and research community.
