How to Submit an Abstract:

  1. Ensure you are registered for the conference. Your abstract will not be considered unless you have registered.
    • If you have never used EasyChair before, click “sign up for an account”.
    • Otherwise, log into your existing EasyChair account.
    1. Enter all the authors details. Only the corresponding author is eligible for prizes.
    2. Enter a title and abstract in plain text. Maximum of 2500 characters including spaces (~300 words).
    3. Select the Group checkboxes regarding whether you'd like to be considered for a oral presentation and/or a poster and/or atravel bursary.
    4. Enter suitable keywords. These will be used to help find appropriate reviewers and help group you into talk sessions.
    5. Click Submit.
  2. You should receive an email from EasyChair notifying you that is has been safely received.
  3. You will be notified of the outcome on Wednesday 17th September 2014.

Best Speaker

  • $500 for best oral presentation by a student
  • $500 for best oral presentation by an early career researcher (ECR)

Best Poster

  • $500 for best student poster
  • $500 for best early career researcher (ECR) poster

Student Travel Bursaries

There is limited travel support available to Australian students only (not ECR) who are attending from outside Victoria. To be considered for an travel award you simply have to tick the box on the registration form and submit an abstract.

Rules

  • A student must be currently enrolled in a university course at an Australian educational institution.
  • An early career researcher (ECR) must have been awarded their highest qualification within the last 5 years.
