International fellowships for Indian Students


#1:Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships

The School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences at The University of Queensland invites outstanding students who are citizens of India or of countries in Latin America to apply for a postgraduate coursework scholarship to cover 50% of tuition fees in the Master of Biotechnology, Master of Molecular Biology or Master of Bioinformatics programs.  Up to six scholarships will be awarded each year.
Scholarship Details
Scholarship Value: Approximately AUD$ 16,640 per year plus student services and amenities fee, based on an indicative annual tuition fee of AUD$ 33,280. Indicative annual fees are calculated on the basis of two full-time semesters only. Students’ actual annual fees may vary in accordance with their choices of majors and electives and whether they study in Summer Semester. The University reviews fees annually.
Deadline: 31 October 2015 for a Semester 1, 2016 (February) commencement or 31 March 2016 for a Semester 2, 2016 (July) commencement.

#2:Oxford-Indira Gandhi Graduate Scholarships

Up to two full scholarships are available for applicants who are either ordinarily resident in India or have previously studied at an Indian higher education institution. You must be applying for one of the eligible master’s courses listed below or for a DPhil course with proposed research in the eligible areas of study.

Start the challenge by choosing the Master's programme that suits you (Wireless Systems, Electric Power Engineering, or Engineering Design). The competition includes three quizzes, one case challenge based on your chosen Master's programme, and a motivational statement.

#4:Avancez Scholarships

Chalmers University of Technology will award a number of scholarships funded by the Chalmers Foundation and these are available to all citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are liable to pay tuition fees for Swedish university education. The exact number of scholarships is yet to be decided by the Chalmers Foundation.

#5:Edinburgh Global Research Scholarship

30 Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships will be awarded for session 2016-2017.
Each award covers the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/EU graduate student and that chargeable to an overseas graduate student. The awards do not cover maintenance expenses.
Subject to satisfactory progress, the awards are tenable for up to three years.

#6:Edinburgh Global Master's Scholarship

The University of Edinburgh will offer a number of scholarships for postgraduate Masters study in any subject offered by the University for the 2016-2017 academic session.
Each scholarship will have a value of £3,000 and will be tenable for one academic year. The scholarship will be deducted from your tuition fees.

#7:Newcastle University India Scholarships

Newcastle University is delighted to announce five scholarship awards for students from India. We are also proud to work in partnership with the British Council’s GREAT campaign by offering five additional scholarships to our Indian students through their GREAT Scholarship Scheme.
It is only possible to be awarded one of these scholarships, not both. Applicants only need to complete one scholarship application form to be considered for both scholarships.

#8:Ashok Khurana Scholarship for Outstanding Indian Students

This scholarship has been established by Professor Ashok Khurana to support the post-graduate education of outstanding Indian students who are undertaking full time post-graduate studies at the University.
The scholarship consists of $25,000 for one year, payable towards the recipient's airfares, living expenses and tuition fees. The successful applicant will also receive a 50% discount on the tuition fees for one year of their program.

#9:Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarships

CWIT enables Indians in the early to mid stages of their careers to spend time in the UK, helping them to achieve artistic, academic and professional ambitions and to broaden their international contacts.
Who was Charles Wallace?
Charles Wallace was born in Calcutta in 1855. He lived, worked and flourished there, founding the Shaw Wallace company (though there are no connections now between CWIT and Shaw Wallace).
Charles Wallace died in 1916, bequeathing his modest fortune to his family for a generation and then for the benefit of those among whom he had made it.

#10:Jennings Randolph (JR) Peace Scholarship

The United States Institute of Peace is dedicated to supporting advanced research from top academics in a variety of fields that contribute to a wider understanding of how to manage conflict and build sustainable peace effectively. Each year the program awards approximately five to six Peace Scholar Fellowships. Fellowships last for 10 months, starting in September. Fellowships are open to citizens of any country.

#11:Skills Scholarship for India 2015

The Christchurch Educated Skills Scholarship programme is targeted at Indian graduates wishing to study at post graduate level in Christchurch in specific disciplines which are aligned to clearly identified skill shortage areas associated with the Christchurch rebuild programme. These include Construction, Engineering, Telecommunications, ICT and Science. After completing a post graduate qualification at Level 7 or above in Christchurch, the Christchurch Educated Skills Scholarship recipients will have opportunities to undertake internships or gain employment in companies which are experiencing growth due to the current economic climate. In 2014, Christchurch Educated Skills Scholarships worth NZD$150,000 were awarded to Fifteen top Indian students.

#12:Commonwealth Scholarships for Master’s and PhD study

Commonwealth Scholarships for Master’s and PhD study in the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), with the aim of contributing to the UK’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.
