Two PhD (graduate) student position are open in the lab of Prof. Vladimir Katanaev at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Lausanne (Switzerland). The lab works on intracellular signaling, especially on the Wnt signaling pathway, utilizing a range of approaches from Drosophila genetics to mathematical modeling. Check the lab’s web-page:http://www.unil.ch/dpt/page85827_en.html for more information.

  • One PhD student position is reserved for investigation of details of Wnt signaling in Drosophila; past experience in Drosophila genetics is a must for it. The other position is for a project aiming at systems-biology investigation of G protein-coupled receptor signaling in mammalian cells; past experience with mammalian cell cultures is a must, experience in imaging, bioinformatics, or mathematical modeling is a plus for this position.
