Postdoctoral position in multi-scale systems biology at GRIB (IMIM-UPF)
The candidate will contribute to the development of a multi-scale modeling framework aiming to predict cellular function from genotype by combining models with high-throughput data sets. The methodology will follow an integrative strategy based on the hierarchical decomposition of biological systems into their constitutive modular parts such as at molecular, cell, network, tissue, organism, and population. Duties will involve the development of algorithms and protocols for modeling genotype/phenotype relationships in drug design, with a focus on overcoming toxicity and resistance mechanisms through multi-scale systems biology approaches. This project is oriented towards technology transfer and will be carried out through ongoing collaboration with biotech and pharma companies.
