Lend your experience and knowledge to help expand our clinical bioinformatics team in order to help improve healthcare solutions for patients and medical staff.  
 
Your responsibilities:
 
We are seeking an individual to join our Clinical Bioinformatics team. Key areas of responsibility include: Develop/Implement algorithms and software for Next Generation Sequencing analysis of microbial genome data. You will establish custom workflows/pipelines for automated analysis of NGS data and visualization of results. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment of computer scientists, bioinformaticists, and clinicians to develop clinically relevant applications of Next Generation Sequencing in Infectious Diseases

We are looking for:
 
PhD in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or Masters with strong skills in NGS analysis.

Candidates with expertise/knowledge/experience in the following areas:

  • Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Genetics
  • Proven experience and knowledge in analysis of NGS data
 
Experience in one or more of the following is highly desired:


Desired attributes for the candidate include:

Research/software development experience in NGS data analysis:
 
  • Statistical Methods/algorithm development for NGS data
  • Population/ microbial genetics
  • DNASeq/RNASeq;
  • Alignment, assembly, analysis of high throughput sequencing data; scaleable algorithms and systems in NGS analysis
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal English
